The game's about to begin. I'm actually really excited. In a sense, I'm also scared.
For one, I'm one of two people, myself and Conny, that are returning to the game from a previous season. None of the other fourteen players really got to see how either of us played, thus making both of us targets, automaticaly, because we've already played the game. Two, as far as I know, Conny is still bitter against me, and should I make it as far as she, merging into the same tribe, she could easily rally against me. I could do the same against her, but I don't believe that will be much help.
I do hope, though, that I can make the others forget that I've already played the game [not the mention placing 4th] and can prove myself to be an asset to the tribe, much like Stephenie and Bobby Jon in Guatemala.
Depending on the other players in my tribe, I'll either become the leader or the submissive player that goes along with the plan, but contributes just enough to survive the Council sessions. It seems, though, that I'll have to become the leader. Two players have yet to be noticed online, and Torah and I have conversed twice through PM. She doesn't seem to be the leading type, she seems more submissive.
I'm making some very slight changes in my game play from China. I need to play extremely smart, for one. Not for one second will I let my guard down. I'm determined to get far, if I don't win. "Far," for me, is the Final 5 or better. Also, I need to read people better than I did in China. I read certain people, like Matt, very well. I knew I had to look out for him immediately. However, I never suspected Richard's game play until Skylar brought it all into the open. I'd like to play both detective and victim. In that, I need to find out as much information as possible without making it seem like I'm gather it to exploit people, and I need to make myself seem like I'm not in any power position and I'm in danger of being out soon so that others help me take out the "power players" to keep the less threatening players in the game. I need to share more about other players than I share about myself so I don't give any fatal information out - but I need to give just enough information out so that I'm not seen as reserved.
These are all fantastic plans, but it all depends on how I get along with the other players. For the most part, I'm well-liked, but if I don't get along with just one person, it can ruin my entire game. Another factor depends on my tribe's performance, as a whole, in the challenges. It'll be much harder to survive if my tribe continually loses than if we won most or some of the challenges.
Here's to a great game!
